With one rare stone lithograph of a procession by the Musegg Tower in Lucern.

In 1340 the city of Lucerne caught fire, and since there was no fire insurance at the time, people asked for protection against a conflagration. The procession was repeated annually. In the 15th century, however, another hellish inferno intervened in this annual event, commonly known as the Musegg Umgang to this day.

Pope Sixtus IV gave a special gift to the women of Lucerne in 1449. He offered them a generous indulgence, probably in exchange for money. Anyone who took part in the Musegg affair had as many sins erased from their criminal records as if they had undertaken the arduous pilgrimage to Rome. Which is why the Bittgang was given the nickname "Rome Journey".

Extremely rare, Worm tract to first throughout work. Rear board working a little loose.
