The painted sweetlips, also known as the Australian slatey, blackall, bluey, grey sweetlips, moke, morwong, mother-in-law fish, painted blubber-lips, slate bream, slate sweetlips, smokey bream, thicklip or yellowdot sweetlips is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a sweetlips belonging to the family Haemulidae.

Schinz’s work on Amphibians and Reptiles combine scientific accuracy and a sophisticated aesthetic sense in terms of the arrangements of animals on each page. The plates are lithographed by Karl Joseph Brodtmann, one of the most accomplished Swiss lithographers of the day.
