Franz Xaver Triner (Swiss, Arth 1767–1824 Buerglen). Franz Xaver Triner, born on October 24, 1767 in Arth, was the son of the painter Karl Meinrad Triner. A few years after his birth, the family moved to Uri. His father, who among other things painted the altarpieces of the churches in Erstfeld and Andermatt, recognized his son's talent early on and supported him in his studio. In 1786, they worked together to decorate the parish church of St. Michael in Gurtnellen.
