Title within a fine illustrated woodcut border made up of 16 sections including various views of Bishop Fabri writing his sermons.

Anton Woensam of Worms was a German painter and wood-engraver. Moved from Worms to Cologne c. 1510. Probably trained as a painter with his father Jaspar, but primarily made his living from designing book illustrations.
Handwritten owner ship inscription of Father Johannes Ropitelli, 1568 and a slight later inscription from the church of the Santissima Trinità dei Monti in Rome.
Fine neat restoration to verso. Lower right corner expertly repaired with manuscript addition.
