Fort Rijswijk was located to the southeast of Batavia to the north side of the Moolenvliet. Later, the official residence of the governor general was built under the name Paleis Rijswijk.
Nowadays, the Moolenvliet, the road Rijswijk and Paleis Rijswijk are still there, albeit with their respective Indonesian names: Ciliwung, Jalan Veteran/Jl. Ir. H. Juanda and the northern part of the Istana Negara (presidential palace).
