William Daniell (1769–1837) was painter, primarily of English landscapes and seaside images. Born to a bricklayer who died prematurely, young William was sent to live with his uncle Thomas Daniell, a prominent landscape artist. William subsequently became his uncle's assistant, traveling together through India preparing the drawings and sketches for Oriental Scenery, his greatest work. Daniell's works also include the remarkable A Voyage Round Great Britain, and he exhibited at the Royal Academy and the British Institution.
