Depicts a procession of flaggelants followed by a bishop and a large group of priests. A church in the background, and a kneeling and praying audience.

Pieter Tanje (1706-1761) was an 18th century Dutch engraver from the Northern Netherlands.
Very good condition given age. Original middle fold, as issued. Left margin tighter but with full plate.
