Billed Ani

The smooth-billed ani is a bird in the cuckoo family. It is a resident breeding species from southern Florida, the Caribbean, parts of Central America, south to western Ecuador, Brazil, northern Argentina and southern Chile.

Hand coloured engraved plates from Brisson's "Ornithologia," 1760.

The paper is thick creamy chain lined hand woven paper with strong plate marks and watermarks.

Condition is very good with fold as issued. Minor age toning.
