Fine leaf from the rare large folio first edition of the Stumpf Chronicle detailing the last years of the reign of Kings in Lombardy during the so-called Bavarian Dynasty. The Bavarian dynasty was those kings of the Lombards who were descended from Garibald I, the Agilolfing duke of Bavaria. They came to rule the Lombards through Garibald's daughter Theodelinda, who married the Lombard king Authari in 588

The leaf contains fine hand coloured (later) woodcut portraits of Antharis, Mauritius, Liutprand, Desiderius completed by Heinrich Vogtherr (the Elder) (1490 in Dillingen an der Donau – 1556 in Vienna) who was an artist, printer, poet and medical author of the Reformation period.
