After the original designs of Claude le Lorrain by Richard Earlom, May 14 1743-October 1822, who was an English printmaker and draftsman, best known for his inventive combination of two printmaking techniques, etching and mezzotint. The prints used etching for Claude's pen lines, and mezzotint for the ink washes, giving a good impression of the originals.
