The map shows the Southern Moluccas with the island of Ceram (or Seram) in the centre and Ambon directly below that and the Banda Islands in the bottom right corner. Very important for the VOC due to the spice trade. 
Hand-coloured copper engraving of Bellin, engraved by Van der Schley, published about 1754 in a Dutch edition of "L'Histoire générale des voyages", title in Dutch and French.

Excellent condition.
