A scarce New Year’s Broadside showing the winged allegorical figure of astronomy, her left hand resting on a celestial globe, her right hand holds a sphere to the left is Ptolemy, Copernicus and Tycho Brahe no doubt discussing the finer points of astronomy, to the left and right there are three picture representations of the planets Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury and the Moon. Old German text beneath.
Assorted astrological instruments are seen in the foreground.
Extremely rare. Minor marking to very outer margins.
